Making your Cafe World customers happy is, when it is all said and done, the ultimate objective of any cafe owner. Because it doesn't matter how good your cafe looks, or how impressive your menu is, if the customers are unhappy. If customers aren't happy, it is only a matter of time before you cafe fails. Once your focus is on making the customers happy, you need to know exactly how happy they are, and what can you do to make them happier.

Finding out how happy your customers are turns out to be really easy. Cafe World shows you your customer satisfaction level by way of the Buzz Rating (the "thumbs up" number) on the right side of the game window.

Whenever a guest comes into your cafe, sits down, and gets served promptly, they will be happy and can give a "thumbs up" on their way out the door. Whenever a customer gives your cafe a thumbs up signal like that, it adds a tenth of a point to your Buzz Rating.

Unfortunately, your Buzz Rating can go down as quickly as it goes up. If someone leaves your cafe and is unhappy, your Buzz Rating automatically drops. What makes customers unhappy?

Whenever a guest comes in to your cafe and isn't served some food shortly after they sit down, they will likely become unhappy. In other words, slow service makes customers unhappy.

A lack of seating also makes customers unhappy. If someone comes into your cafe and can't find an available seat, they will become unhappy and leave.

This is what makes your Buzz Rating a double-edged sword. Just as in the real world, the greater the buzz about your cafe, the more customers it will attract. But if those customers aren't served promptly or can't find a place to sit, they'll push your Buzz Rating back down, reducing the number of visitors in the future.

This contradiction is one of the most interesting challenges you'll need to resolve on your way to Cafe World Domination.
